Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve - Mosca, CO

Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve is home to the tallest dune field in North America. While the dunes are the parks most well known attraction, the ecosystem within the park is complex and contains many treasures often over looked. Exhibits at the visitor center provide three areas of focus: overall park orientation, natural history within the park's alpine tundra, dunes and wetlands, and the complexities of the dune ecosystem.

Responsibilities included: content development, exhibit design, graphic design and documentation. Project completed while employed with Edquist Davis Exhibits.

Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve exterior exhibits

Exterior orientation exhibits provide 24-hour information for park visitors. Graphic cues are taken from the dynamic forms created by the ever moving grains of sand and presented to be in harmony with the architecture and vernacular of the area.
